A five-day training on Floriculture and Landscaping was successfully conducted from 2nd to 6th February 2026 at Tsirang Dzongkhag. The program was organized by the Royal Project Coordination Office (RPCO) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL) and brought together 55 participants, including Tsirang Dzongkhag officials, ARDSC staff, community forestry members, and local florists. The training aimed to enhance participants practical skills and technical knowledge in plant production, landscaping, and floral arrangement to support Tsirang’s greening and beautification initiatives.

The training adopted a hands-on and participatory approach through lectures, demonstrations, field visits, and group discussions. Key topics included floriculture basics, plant propagation, nursery management, landscape design, and floral arrangements for official and community events. Participants also visited the Organic Farming Hub at Mendrelgang Gewog to observe vermicomposting, bio-fertilizer production, and local nursery management practices.

The program concluded successfully, with all participants completing the training and demonstrating improved confidence in implementing beautification and landscaping activities. The training not only strengthened collaboration among stakeholders but also built a local pool of skilled personnel to support sustainable landscape development in Tsirang Dzongkhag. Continued technical support and periodic refresher courses are recommended to further advance floriculture and ornamental horticulture in the region.
