Tsirang Dzongkhag had the honour of welcoming the Hon’ble Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment (MoICE), along with the Director General of the Department of Industry, the Director of the Department of Tourism, and senior officials from the Ministry and its Departments, during the Minister’s official visit to Tsirang today as part of the nationwide consultation on Business Regulatory Reform.
The visit provided an important platform for engaging with Dzongkhag officials, local government leaders, and members of the business community to discuss the existing business regulatory environment, challenges faced by businesses, and opportunities to simplify regulatory processes in the Dzongkhag.
Dzongkhag officials also presented Tsirang’s potential development plans and emerging tourism opportunities, highlighting the Dzongkhag’s growing prospects as an agro-tourism destination and the need for a supportive regulatory framework to attract investment in this sector.
Business representatives shared their concerns and suggestions, and the Hon’ble Minister acknowledged the issues raised, assuring participants that each matter would be taken up for appropriate follow-up and consideration.
The consultation further focused on strengthening coordination among relevant stakeholders and creating a more efficient, transparent, predictable and enabling business environment to support private sector growth and economic development in Tsirang.
