Tsirang Dzongkhag has officially launched the first-ever Nationwide Digital Registration of Piggery and Poultry Farms with the commencement of a three-day training program for Extension Officers on the Farm Registration System (FRS) from 1–3 September 2025.

The training is designed to equip officers with the skills to digitally collect, validate, and record farm information into the FRS. Once fully operational, the system will serve as a reliable platform to support evidence-based planning, effective decision-making, and improved service delivery in the livestock sector.

The registration will cover all piggery and poultry farms across the 12 Gewogs of Tsirang. This initiative is expected to encourage farmers to adopt structured farm management practices, strengthen biosecurity measures, and reduce the risk of livestock disease outbreaks, ultimately enhancing farm productivity and profitability. Moreover, the system will provide farmers with easier access to government support, including financial assistance and other subsidy schemes.
