n observance of World Water Day on 22 March 2026, the Dzongkhag Administration, Tsirang successfully carried out a river/stream cleaning activity at Harpaykhola as part of the Nationwide River/Stream Cleaning Initiative. The activity saw active participation from Dzongkhag staff, the Tsirang Forest Division, De-suups, Red Cross Society members, Regional Heads, and community members.
In addition, similar cleaning activities were carried out across various gewogs, covering rivers and streams such as Changchay, Burichhu, Punatsangchhu, Sunkosh, and Neopany Kholcha. Damphu town business owners and residents also contributed by cleaning their surrounding areas.
Through this collective effort, more than 2,500 kg (2 tonnes) of waste was collected, contributing to cleaner surroundings and healthier water sources.
