sergithang primary school

Sergithang Primary School is located in the Sergithang Block, one of the most remote gewogs in Tsirang, Bhutan. It was established in 1965. The school serves students in the area, with some students facing long journeys to and from school, including a three-hour uphill walk for some. The school also previously received support from the World Food Programme (WFP) for providing meals, but this support was planned to be discontinued by 2014. There were also discussions about providing boarding facilities for students, but there were no plans for them
