Rigsum Pemai Dumra

Rigsum Pemai Dumra, which translates to “The Garden of the Three Protectors,” is a sacred and serene spiritual site located in Tsirang Dzongkhag, Bhutan. The name “Rigsum” refers to the three bodhisattvas — Manjushri (representing wisdom), Chenrezig (compassion), and Vajrapani (power). This peaceful garden was created as a place for reflection, prayer, and spiritual retreat, embodying the blessings and protection of these enlightened beings. Designed in harmony with nature, the site features beautiful landscaping, meditation paths, prayer wheels, and spiritual statues.

Rigsum Pemai Dumra is not only a pilgrimage site but also a spiritual haven for locals and visitors alike. The area serves as a retreat for those seeking inner peace, away from the distractions of daily life. Annual religious ceremonies and meditation sessions are held here, fostering spiritual growth and community bonding. The sacred garden is especially popular among practitioners for its tranquil ambiance and the belief that making aspirations here helps cultivate wisdom, compassion, and strength — the core virtues represented by the three bodhisattvas.
