Land Record Section

The Land Record Section of Tsirang Dzongkhag Administration plays a pivotal role in managing land-related services and ensuring accurate and up-to-date land information for the public and the government. It is responsible for maintaining land ownership records, processing land transactions such as sales, exchanges, inheritance, and lease, and issuing Lagthrams (land ownership certificates) in coordination with the National Land Commission (NLC).

Background

The section also facilitates land demarcation, resurvey activities, land use planning, and resolves land disputes in collaboration with relevant authorities. With the adoption of digital systems like the eSakor, the section has improved efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of land services for citizens. By safeguarding land rights and providing timely and reliable services, the Land Record Section contributes to effective land governance and supports socio-economic development in Tsirang Dzongkhag.

Services provided by the Survey and Land Sector

  1. Processing of Land Transactions – Including sale/purchase, inheritance, gift, donation, late name changes, changes in ownership type, and land conversion (excluding wetland conversion).
  2. Cadastral Survey Services – Conducting surveys for boundary demarcation, Court cases, realignment, services related to LUC and Lease land.
  3. Land Use Certificate (LUC) Processing – Facilitating the issuance of LUCs.
  4. Lease Land Processing – For both Business Activities (BA) and Commercial Activities (CA).
  5. Land Substitution Processing – For cases involving land acquisition.
  6. Land Replacement Processing – For cases involving land exchange.
  7. Issue site verification report for house construction.
