The Health Sector of Tsirang Dzongkhag Administration is dedicated to ensuring accessible, equitable, and quality healthcare services for all residents. It oversees the functioning of the district hospital in Damphu, Basic Health Units (BHUs), Sub-Posts, and Outreach Clinics across the gewogs. The sector delivers a wide range of services, including maternal and child health, immunization, nutrition, sanitation, disease prevention, and treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases.

Background

Public health awareness, health promotion campaigns, and mobile health services are also integral to its strategy, especially in reaching remote communities. The sector works in coordination with the Ministry of Health to implement national health programs and ensure the availability of essential medicines, trained health workers, and emergency response services. By prioritizing both curative and preventive healthcare, the Health Sector plays a vital role in improving the overall well-being and quality of life for the people of Tsirang Dzongkhag.
