The Economic Affairs Committee of the National Council conducted a two-day consultation meeting on 1–2 April 2026 in Tsirang Dzongkhag on the proposed Livestock Bill. The meeting brought together committee members, relevant government officials, and representatives of livestock cooperatives and groups.

The main objective of the consultation was to gather feedback and insights from local communities on the provisions of the Livestock Bill. Discussions focused on key issues such as animal health management, breeding practices, livestock marketing, disease control, and the regulatory framework for livestock development.

Participants actively shared their concerns and suggestions, highlighting the challenges faced in livestock farming and in the field implementation of livestock development.
