Planning

The Planning Section of Tsirang Dzongkhag Administration is the central unit responsible for coordinating development activities across the dzongkhag. It plays a critical role in formulating, implementing, and monitoring five-year plans, annual performance agreements, and local development strategies. The section works closely with all sector heads, gewog administrations, and relevant stakeholders to ensure that developmental programs are inclusive, need-based, and aligned with national priorities and the principles of Gross National Happiness (GNH).

Background

Key responsibilities include preparing budget proposals, monitoring capital works and projects, tracking progress of key performance indicators (KPIs), and compiling reports for submission to the Gross National Happiness Commission (GNHC) and other agencies. The Planning Section also facilitates participatory planning by incorporating community feedback and ensures transparency through public consultations. Through effective coordination and strategic guidance, the section contributes to the balanced socio-economic development of Tsirang Dzongkhag.
