ICT

The ICT Section of Tsirang Dzongkhag Administration plays a key role in supporting digital governance and ensuring efficient use of technology in public service delivery. It manages and maintains all ICT infrastructure, including computers, internet connectivity, official websites, email systems, and data security. The section supports all departments and gewogs within the dzongkhag by troubleshooting technical issues, managing networks, and ensuring smooth operation of systems critical to administrative functions.

Background

Beyond technical support, the ICT Section also facilitates the implementation of e-Government services and digital platforms that improve transparency and efficiency. It assists in digital data management, system upgrades, capacity building, and cybersecurity awareness among staff. By promoting ICT-based solutions and innovations, the section helps bridge the digital divide, enhances communication, and contributes to the overall modernization of governance in Tsirang Dzongkhag.

Promoting the development of reliable and sustainable information, communications and transport networks and systems and facilitating the provision of affordable and easier access to associated services, particularly to meet the basic social needs and help improve living standards of people in rural and far-flung communities of Bhutan, for the ultimate purpose of making a meaningful contribution to Gross National Happiness.
