A consultative meeting was held at the Dzongkhag Administration, Tsirang, on 9th January 2026, during the first official visit of His Excellency the Hon’ble Speaker of the National Assembly after assuming office. He was accompanied by the Hon’ble Members of Parliament from Sergithang–Tsirangtoed and Kikhorthang–Mendrelgang constituencies. The meeting was attended by sector heads, gewog gups, and regional heads. The Hon’ble Speaker highlighted key national priorities, including the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), the roles and responsibilities of the National Assembly, and ongoing government initiatives, and encouraged collective efforts to harness emerging development opportunities.
